Howards way

With Germany out of the way and no bias for or against Spain and the Netherlands, I am hoping that Sunday will see the appointment of Howard Webb as match official for the World Cup Final. Most referees were released earlier this week, but not Howard.

I really like the way he referees and if chosen it will be Englands first final representative since Jack taylor in '74 when Germany beat the Dutch 2-1 and I remember, in the six form centre the next day discussing taylors poor performance.

Howard must be the only Englishman pleased that England failed to progress. Fingers crossed we are represented.
